The problem is I can't find my install disc. I checked the internet with little luck! Please help!

All I want is free software to load my printer on, not some company that wants me to register then pay for it.
I have installed my printer i can print and i can copy but i cant scan can anyone help me?
I try to scan picture from my MP470 into my labtop HP Pavillion Entertainment PC which runs on Vista. What shows up on my screen is that basic version of muvee ,which is a movie producing program, and came with the HP Labtop (try to sell an upgrage) and HP installed cam showes up instead of scanning.
I connected my old Toshiba labtop which runs on XP and had no problem to scan.
Any advice. I would appreciate it.

i cant install my pixma m470 printer on my hp computer. My computer runs on windows me. Is this computer not compatible to my printer? i tried looking on the web and it said no driver dowloads were available and the printer did not come with a disc when i bought it. please advise!
