A micro SD memory card is commonly used in cell phones and other mobile devices. The card is roughly a third of the size of a typical SD card. Most card readers do not support micro SD cards. There is a work around, though. The work around basically turns the micro SD card into a regular size SD card. You can then use the card with other digital devices, such as digital cameras. With a micro SD card, you can easily transfer pictures, music and video from you phone to your computer.

  1. Step 1 Place the micro SD card your cell phonehi..how do I transfer phone contacts to sd card? - mag-glass_10x10.gif or other device that supports micro SD cards. Place data on the card.
  2. Step 2 Remove the micro SD card from your device. Place it in the SD card adapter.
  3. Step 3 Place the adapter into your computer to transfer data.
  4. Step 4 Remove the adapter from the computer.
  5. Step 5 Place the adapter in any device that supports an SD card if you wish to use your micro SD card as a normal SD card.
  6. Step 6 Remove the micro SD card from the adapter when you wish to use it in your phone or other device supporting micro SD cards.
    • If you're only using the micro SD card as a regular SD card, leave it in the adapter at all times to prevent loss. SD card adapters and kits can be purchased wherever SD cards are sold.
    • Never force the micro SD card into the adapter. There is only one correct way to insert the card. If you encounter a lot of resistance, then you are inserting the card incorrectly.

SOURCE: transferring stored data from micro SD card on G1 to new one

In the case of hidden files on your g1 sd card, you may want to create a disk image of your first sd card.

I had switched my sd card from my blackberry to my new g1. It was formatted as FAT16. I used it for a while, but I didn't want to keep it's current formatting.

I created a disc image on my mac using disk utility, formatted my sd card as FAT32, then restored data again using disk utility.

The same principles apply to your problem. You could do something similar on windows with a program like ImgBurn.

How to transfer contacts from 306g to pc???

There is an option to export the contacts to the sd card.
Tap the contacts icon.
tap menu
look for import/export contacts
Tap export to sd card
you can select all or just the ones you want.
tap export then yes.
It will transfer them to a .vcf file and at that point you can transfer it to your pc via bluetooth or usb. You could also take the sd card out and use a card reader to get the file off. You will need a micro sd card adapter or a card reader that will accept that standard of card.
If you do not have a micro sd card ( look under the battery cover or on the sides for a small slot with a black card in it.) you will have to do the bluetooth or usb transfer.

How do I transfer my text messages from one phone to another (being the new phone)?

If you go to a sprint store, they have a machine in there that will transfer everything! I took my phone in there, and they got my pics, files, and everything on there. Its worth a try, but I am not sure if text messages would transfer.

Saving contact info

If you have a V3 then there is no card slot. hence you cannot directly transfer to SD card but you can do so by transferring to your PC thru bluetooth/cable connection and then migrate to SD CARD.

Transfer contact list from samsung cell phone to blue tooth in 2004 ls430 Lexus

There should be a tiny 1/4 inch square SD card inside the phone, usually inside or under the battery compartment.
Just transfer this card to the new phone.
This only works if you have put the contact list phone numbers ON the SD card and NOT on the phone memory.
