Windows 7 resolution issues

I've recently installed windows 7 and have a netgear wn111v2 adapter. Had massive issues installing the drivers but got there in the end. The problem I now have is that on restart my screen resolution goes to 800x600 or flashes at me. Had a little look around in forums but no one seems to have the same res issues???? Help

I also have the netgear wn 111v2 adapter. Wouldn't install because of the cd being for xp. They haven't been real quick on the windows 7 software download. I haven't heard of that install causing a video problem. or screen problem. Wondering if that was the cause?

Windows 7 does not support drivers that you have in your video card or you video card to be more specific, you'll need to download driver for your video card that support windows 7...Windows 7 have this issue all along since it was first release, all the problems goes to drivers issue. i suggest to downgrade again to your first OS before windows 7.

Testimonial: "So I need to wait until the correct drivers are available for netgear and ATI? Bummer. Thanks for the advice"

Netgear WN111v2 Adapter disconnected

Is the Netgear Wi-Fi Management software installed on the computer? If it is, you may have a conflict between Window's built in Wi-Fi Manager and the Netgear Wi-Fi Manager. If it isn't, you may need to install it.
Assuming it isn't, there's links to download the software at the Netgear Global Download Center.

I would default to the most current version, if you're running Windows XP, you may need to install the v2.1, however, I would assume the v3.1 would be backward compatible with XP.
Install the software and follow the prompts that will guide you through the installation/setup.
Now, if the software is already installed, you need to find the program and configure it through that avenue. If that does not fix the issue, you should uninstall the Netgear software, remove the Wi-Fi adapter and reboot the computer. After it completely boots back up, you should either plug in the Wi-Fi adapter, let Windows recognize it and install the drivers, (they should still be in the system even after you uninstalled the software). Once Windows successfully locates and installs the drivers, reboot the computer again, (no need to remove the adapter). Once Windows completely loads again, open Start, Control Panel, and System. On the resulting window, click the hardware tab at the top then click the "Hardware Manager" button in the middle about 1/3 down the window. Click the "+" next to "Network Adapters" and verify that your WN111v2 is indeed installed.
Assuming it is at this point, close out everything but the Control Panel and open "Network Connections". Find the wireless adapter there, (may be listed as "wireless connection2" depending on how many times it's been installed). Right click on the wireless device and select "Show Available Wireless Networks"

I'm also uploading a video showing what needs to be done.

Stuck At Detecting Adapter

Disconnect it, remove any software that was installed and restart the computer. Do not connect the device until you finish installing the device's software or the software installation prompts you to connect the device.
If that doesn't work, here's Microsoft's solution:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly
If that doesn't work, go to Netgear's website for support and/or post the problems in the forums.
I hope this helps.

Hello antonhs2000,

I assume you went through the direct instructions located HERE. It does not suggest a restart anywhere on the page, so I would suggest doing that. I have always made it a habit to restart my computer after uninstalling drivers and installing drivers as well just to be safe.
