My Singer Futura CE-250 Software keeps giving me an error message that my machine is not connected to the pc/not turned on but it is connected and on...when I unplug the machine, my computer makes the sound it does whenever a usb device is unplugged. The machine has been working for months and suddenly can't recognize the machine as plugged in. The machine is also flashing PC. My OS is Windows XP.
This problem has to be with the communication between the arm and the main machine. Make sure the arm is leveled, to do so, very carefully move the arm higher or lower, this creates the connection between the arm and machine. When I find where the off level is successful I put a thick cardstock (or stable flat object) under the arm. When the communication is successful and the machine is on hooked to the computer the embroidery arm should move. Good Luck!
"PC" symbols on the machine panel if it is not connected to PC and switched on is a normal behaviour.
As for communication failure try to remember whether something on your pc has been changed: windows upgrade, machine got connected to another usb port etc. If any of such changes have been made try to reinstall Futura software. Otherwise launch troubleshooting utility and send its report to futura-support.
