Display not working, mostly white screen, sometimes colored snow, or partial display. on 1 ocasion upside down mirror image

Important disclaimer ... I am not a technical expert. But, I do have this phone. And, I have this same problem. My first thought was that the phone got wet but I now think it is a software problem. Either way, I'm just trying to stretch out the phone use until my contract is up so I don't have to pay for a replacement. Here is what works temporarily for me ... take out the battery for a minute or so, when turning the phone on, hold the power button for about a minute. This seems to reset the phone. Sometimes I need to repeat 3 or 4 times for it to work. The fix only works long enough to retrieve text messages and send a few and check missed calls. Next time I go to use it, I have to do it again. Frustrating but I think I can make due for 2 more months.
