SHARP XR-10X PROJECTOR LAMP

I THINK MY LAMP IS NOT GOOD ANY MORE IS ANY WAY THAT I CAN FIXED MY SELF?

They have filters?
looked in mine and there was no filters where the manual said they were, was just open vent. do some come with them and some without? also top cover would not come off completely, was locked in on the left side where the bulb housing is located near, the rest of the cover would come up somewhat. is there a secret lock tab somewhere on that side?

Lamps are easily replaced by the user. Get a new one and pull out your instruction book to replace. Make sure you clean your air filter regularly to give longer lamp life. There is no way for you to "fix" the lamp module without replacement.

Problem with Sharp XR-10X The power light blinks red
According to the manual, a red blinking light indicates that the lamp cover is open. Try reseating the lamp and making sure everything closes up right. If the light is still blinking, it is most likely a problem with the projector itself and you may need to find out about getting it serviced.

Projector sharp XR-H325SA indicating lamp I replace tha new lamp but still indicating ineed to reset lamp timer but how?
hi,
for resetting the lamp hour do the following

1. Plug the power cord into the AC socket of the projector.
2. While simultaneously holding down MENU/HELP, ENTER and DOWN ARROW button on the projector, press STANDBY/ON on the projector.
3. "LAMP 0000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.

the colorwheel motor bearings are starting to go. you'll need to replace the colorwheel. you can get the part from a sharp service center and do it yourself or send it to one for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

You should consider using original lamp from sharp before some generic lamp destroys the ballast or power supply of the projector.

New bulb in now wont work - no power - wont turn on to reset lamp
first, make sure you have the correct lamp. the lamp for the xr-10x-l looks like the xr-10x, but the plugs are different (common mistake). make sure you have the AN-XR10L2/1, not the AN-XR10LP/1. to reset the lamp timer (with the projector plugged in but off), hold down the enter, down arrow, and menu buttons and press the power.

Cannot remove lamp assembly from Sharp XR-10X projector
flathead screwdriver under the lamp handle from the front and a sharp push down on the screwdriver handle (but don't break it) will dislodge it. it wedges in there pretty good.
