Hi, i'm trying to set up and install my new brother HL-2140 laser printer using the installation Disk that i received with the printer. The problem is that the installation is interupted because it says Microsoft doesn't recognize the software and then i get a message "the file 'BH2140.PDD' on the brother laser printer driver disk is needed". Type the path where the file is located. But the file won't load. I've downloaded new driver from the web too. Same problem. I'm running Windows XP Pro.
Uninstall the completly the printer driver form add and remove program and dissconect the printer cable and restart the computer. after that download the latest driver from herehttp://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/model_top/monolaserpri/hl2140_all.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=hl2140_all and install it.
