Make sure that the computer is set to react to the camera being attached. The easiest way is to launch iPhoto, go the preferences and in the general tab, look at the bottom drop down menu where it says "Connecting Camera Opens". Set it to either iPhoto or the Canon application.

I have a canon rebel t3. When i connect my camera to my macbook air nothing happens. What do i do? I don't had a card reader. Thanks

You should have received a Digital solutions CD with your camera with drivers for Mac and PC. You'll need to load this and then if you have a newer OS since you purchased the camera you'll need to visit www.usa.canon.com and go to consumer products, downloads and download the lated updates for your OS.

Doesyour Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D suffer from either of thefollowing error messages that prevent it from normal operation?
  1. Some cameras may exhibit a phenomenon in which theLCD monitor does not display, the shutter does not release, and the BUSY indication remains lit in the viewfinder.
  2. Themessage, "Err 99 Shooting is not possible. Turn the power switch to<OFF> and <ON> again or re-install the battery", appears onthe camera's LCD monitor, and after the above operation is carried out,the LCD monitor displays in a language that is different from theactual language setting.
Installation of this Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D firmware version 1.06 update will solve these problems.

I have bought a canon EOS 300d camera with out cd. bt when i plug my camera to my computer nothing happens .i tried to do download dpp bt all i fine is dpp updater e.t.c . i have windows xp in installed ....

The updater does not need to have a previous version installed, it will install the stand alone program. However DPP is not the program you need to connect to your camera, what you need is EOS Utility. That is also availible on the Canon website.

I am trying to transfer pictures from my Cannon EOS Rebel T1i to my Mac book and I can't get it to work

When you connect the camera to the Mac, you must have the camera powered ON. THe Mac will automatically recognize the camera and will open iTunes to download the pictures. IF this does not happen, you may have a bad cable or a bad USB port on the Macbook. Try a different cable, or try a different port. Good Luck.

Consider NOT using a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Camera won't upload to iphoto

Do what the pros do...use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop.
