Brand new Panasonic TH-42PZ77U Plasma bought yesterday, it just shut it self off and the power light started blinking. Now it just has come on twice and shut itself off with just the power light just blinking. No troulbleshooting in the manual. It is plugged into a monster clean power source.
I have the 52" version of the Viera model. Mine went out last night and started blinking twice over and over again. I suspected overheating so i just went to bed and tried it in the morning with no luck. Then I unplugged it for more than ten minutes and plugged it back in and everything worked fine. I hope this helps.

same problem with a Panasonic TH-42PX60U. Was watching tv. screen went blank; power indicator light blinks twice, goes off for 2-3 seconds, blinks twice and so on. The Panasonic website FAQ describes the problem, but only suggests that you unplug tv and plug into a new outlet (doesn't solve my problem). Help
