I have a Ford 1700 and the first time this happened I assumed it needed the oil changed (DID NOT read the manual). After changing the hydraulic oil for about $50... it ran no better. Read the manual. Bought the hidden oil filter. Bought new oil. Problem solved. The filter on this tractor sits in the bottom of the rear end housing and collect ever piece of junk. Good! But a pain to change the filter.

9 times out of 10 its not the pump. Inspect all fittings and check for leaks. Rem this rule that if oil can get out air can get in. Air is most likely your issue. Cavitation will make it act like a bad pump. Hope this helps

Testimonial: "thanKs very much for your prompT attention however there are NO oil leaks I AM GOING TO DO A OIL CHANGE AND CLEAN THE FILTER REGARDS DEREK "

I have a 2005 kubota l39 model and the front end loader will not stay in a curled position. also the backhoe has some hydralic leaks and wondering if that is affecting front end loader

Yes, any hydraulic leaks will affect the entire machine. They are also extremely dangerous when pressurized (used) and hydraulic fluid is hazardous. Repair the leaks correctly before operating the machine further.

I own a 1996 Kubota 7040 and my problem is when I'm at idle the bucket won't lift or the 3 point hitch I have to Rev engine to get a response. All oil and filters are new also the hydraulic pump

Try turning in 1 turn C/W on the pump relief valve adjustment. It should be an Allen stud with a jam nut on the right side of the transaxle just above the axel housing. Foamy or milky hydraulic oil is an indication of leakage or blockage in suction tube for the pump.

1640A Kubota tractor front end loader or bush hog will not lift

I would say you have air in the hydraulic system or you are low on Hydraulic fluid, I am not sure of the procedure on this make to bleed the air out but a dealer may help you if you ask nice.
