I have a lenovo 3000 y410 7757 laptop with windows 7 installed. I cannot find the drivers for windows7 for the sound,or anything, only vista and xp. Can anyone help?

Hello windows 7 is not a supported system, but your can download the vista driver here:

Lenovo has not yet released drivers for Y410 which are compatible for Windows 7 OS. From time to time you might want to check on this LINK if there's any driver update.

I installed windows 7 in my laptop and while installing the audio drivers its an failure how can i install the realtech audio drivers to my machine?

Hi you can try finding out what your sound card is or by going to your manufactuars website and finding it there by looking under your make and model or you could find out yourself and download it from the internet.

Sound goes on & off on lenovo Y410 laptop

Next time it goes off, have a look to see if you have a service/process called Windows Audio running. Click Start & type "services.msc" in the search box (presuming you are using vista), then just press enter.
Look for "Windows Audio" & "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder".
Make sure they are running/started & set to automatic.
The problem could be a driver that did not install properly, a codec that did not install properly or a Windows update that did not install properly.

I have install windows7 in my y410 laptop and the sound driver is not working in it.it shows an error massage while i am trying to install the driver.

Go to your driver setup (.exe) file:
then propery->compatibility
then compatibility mode to windows vista.
then run setup.
I am sure that it will run corretly.

AFAIK, Win7 should be compatible with Vista drivers so you could download drivers designed for Vista and try.

The drivers should be available on the manufacturers homepage.

But that's just a thought.
