Julie, Page 12 of the manual, item 21 shows two jacks, one is the line socket and the other is for a phone, in case you want a phone near the copier. Item 20 is for a network cable.

Do a search for MFX-3090 PDF and you should find the manual.

Printed manuals cost a lot to produce and add a lot to shipping costs as they have to be a weighty item in umpteen different languages. Most owners never consult them anyway, so they are a waste of resources all round.

In exchange, you can usually find a complete pdf copy online or sometimes a manual is included on CD, but even those can make the phone packaging larger than necessary. An increasing number of phones have the manual stored in the phone memory..

Like you, I prefer a printed manual, but I also want my phone to be supplied at the lowest possible cost. The present alternatives for me and the vast majority of customers are seen as an acceptable compromise and many prefer them as they're better for the environment.

You may want to review page 158 of the PDF of your Operation Manual with respect to Troubleshooting when Image quality is poor. This document points to a number of sections with respect to specific cleaning requirements.

the machine is nearing service time.. Normally this is maintenance and resetting the print clock..

• press both 3 and 9 buttons at the same time and hold
• select each item 1 at a time and press ok
• press 1 to reset it..
• do this for each item in the list
• repeat for each item.

unplug phone line from printer, see if phone is operational, try another phone in the wall plug, if not working, go to outside box and plug phone into the test item, if not working call phone company as it wuold appear line dead/cancelled.

3. Press SELECT and place the printer OFF-LINE (SELECT will not be lit).

4. Press QUIET to enter Menu Mode.

5. The line shown below will print.

Printer Control Emulation Mode Epson LQ 6. Go to Step A to print the current menu.

Go to Step B to change the menu.

Step A

Press PRINT to print the current Menu.

Press EXIT to exit Menu Mode.

The printer will go ON-LINE. (SELECT will light.)

Step B

Press GROUP to move through the groups of the Menu.

A line prints, showing the Group.

Press ITEM to move through the items in a group.

A line prints, showing the Item.

Press SET to change the setting for an item.

A line prints, showing the Setting.

Press EXIT to exit Menu Mode.

The printer will go ON-LINE. (SELECT will light.)

I need some more information are the lines horizontal or vertical? Does it print fine from the computer? Does this problem only happen when you scan an item in and then print it or copying an item then print it? Also when you get this output do you have some of the text and lines or just lines?
