Forget all that. If all you want to do is download your pics from your camera, use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop.

Optio 330gs Windows 7 compatibility?

You also might want to consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

That is the problem. How do you uninstall it? Because the Manual doesn`t give any information as to how it`s done.

Uninstalling depends on several things.
If you used "Add & Remove Programs" to install (some programs automaticly register with "Add & Remove Programs") you can just go to "Add & Remove Programs" and choose "Remove Program"
If that option isn't available, look in the programs folder for an uninstall program (often listed as "unwise")
If neither of these work you'll have to do a manual uninstall. This takes some advanced understanding or the operating system to do without risking messing up the operating system. You'll need to delete the program(s) manually then use the registry editor to remove the references to the program. Be sure to back up the entire system first and then the registry before beginning (one bad key stroke can corrupt the entire OS).
Note: I didn't give step-by-step instructions on the manual uninstall because if you don't already know how you shouldn't try.

Ty so much fredinot. i think u are exactly right. How do I uniinstall old driver in control panel. This was the one that had file corruption with static on my webcam- jack thx again

To uninstall the driver, click the "Add or Remove" program (for Win XP) or "Programs and Feature" (for Win Vista).

The window will be populated with the list of drivers that are currently installed in your computer. Find the driver that you would like to delete or uninstall, click it once and then click the "Remove" or "Uninstall" button. You will see the progress of removing the driver.

Good luck and have a good evening!

SCSI/RAID Host Controller/Driver cannot be found

Windows cannot find the correct drivers for this device. So, let's research a little bit.

Are you using SATA or RAID on the computer? If not, there is nothing that needs fixing.

If you are, then reinstall the RAID software from your motherboard installation disk, which should repair this issue.

If you do not have the driver installation disk from your motherboard, for whatever reason, go to their website. Almost every motherboard manufacturer provides easy access to drivers.

good luck

Are you uninstalling from Device Manager or add/Remove programs in Control Panel?

Add/Remove Programs

Hi,

Try this: click start>right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager>network adapters>choose the device you want to get rid and click on un-install. Go back to add/remove and see its still there. If not great, if so you may have to go around your pc and manually delete every thing that's associated with this device. One other thing you may try is to reinstall the original software and then try to remove it through add/remove by reinstalling you set the software back at its defaults and restore missing of corrupt files. This should restore the un-install file you need to completely un-install the device your try to get rid of.

Pentax Option 330GS problem turning on

Sounds like the images are corrupted on the card. If you have another card then try starting the camera with it. To get the card working again, you will need to format it in a card reader with FAT16 format, or try in another camera. If you want the images, you will have to obtain repair software to try to retrieve the images.
