I have a dell laptop studio and have always had my homepage as msn.com---now when i click on internet explorer it says that link is broken? any ideas on how to fix this?

With Mozilla, go to tools, Options and the general. You see the homepage there... type in the msn web address. click ok and there you go

What internet browser do you use? For example Internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari?

Open Internet Explorer
On the extreme top of the page you will get options like :File>Edit>View>Favourites>Tools and Help
if you are not getting it .. just tap the "ALT" key on the keyboard
now go to the "TOOLS" option
the go to "Internet Options"
under the General tab you will get Home page..
under which there would be "Address:" and a blank box
just type msn.com and then click on "Apply" on the bottom and then on "ok"
now close everything and open internet explorer again
it should work

I guess you lost your Home Page link to MSN, right? If so, use your browser--probably MS Internet Explorer--to go to www.my.msn.com and sign in.

From the MS IE top menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options. In the General tab you will see Home Page on top and your home page address should be in the Address line. Click Use Current.

Your home page should be restored.

Couple of things to check. Make sure you software firewall has not been accidentally set to block this site. If you are using an Antivirus program you will find advanced firewall settings in the configuration section.

Secondly, click Tools on the top Menu bar in Internet Explorer, and then choose Internet Options. Re-enter MSN as your homepage and click OK, in the event the URL has been changed from your original page.

Hi:
If you type in the entire address, www.msn.com then press enter, you should go there. Once you are there, you can click on the little down arrow near the picture of a house on your tool bar, and change your home page to the current page, and you should be good to go.

Open IE8->Tools->Internet Options->

Homepage should say http://www.msn.com

Click OK. That should be it.

I have the same problem and it just started today! If I try to go to www.msn.com I get redirected to http://dell.v14.msn.com/ which doesn't exist.

I am using IE8 and Vista Home Premium with SP2.

have dell 1555 with Vista Home Premium. Have MSN as homepage. Now get broken link to home page and cannot get to msn.com. Gives me error related to dell v14 msn. any known problems or solutions?
