Have you done convergence? and is there a auto focus?
Do you see the double images with the OSD? Did you try each of the
manual Image Revision settings? the following TIP is available that
takes you into the service menu to make adjustments that may correct
the problem without the need to replace the optical assembly:
Document Reference/Event ID: E20256050
Model: KF50XBR800, KF60DX100, KF60XBR800
Subject: Image Revision adjustment for Double Image. Ghosting.
SYMPTOMS
Double
image. Ghosting. I have tried E19763341 (service bulletin that tells
you to try the manual adjustments) but the double image still exists.
Is there something else to try rather than swapping the Optical Block?
RESOLUTION
Yes. Try the attached procedure. This has proven to be very effective.
The procedure is lengthy and complex enough that I can't include it here. However, if you want it, go to your Inbox
at the bottom of the left column and send me (jehill) a private message
with your request and your e-mail address and I will send it to you. YOU ARE COMPLETLEY ON YOUR OWN IF YOU ATTEMPT THE PROCEDURE!
Send me your email address i have a fix 4 u

I have the same problem and have lived with it for a about a year. I've tried all of the revison adjustments with no luck. Sony service came out and wanted to replace some chip. He said the chip is cheap but the labor is not. $500.00. Can you help me?
Same problem here. Have the Sony KF60XBR800 and it started throwing a red ghost image on all video sources (cable tv, DVD, games, etc.). Tried the setup menu option to adjust the image but no notable fix. Called Sony an thier crack service department acertained pretty much out of the gate that the set needs to be reapired. Hopefully the extended warranty will cover this. Would be recepttive to any feedback from the forum on other alternatives for trying to fix this.
I have the same ghosting problem described on this borad. I started experiencing this problem about a year ago and it appears to be getting worse. I've tried the image revision adjustment off the menu and no luck.
Is there a fix for this problem? I am OK if it needs to be serviced but want to no if that is the fix. Assumimg there isn't anything one can do with the set.
Please contact me if anyone has a solution,
Thanks

I have had the same ghosting problem for over a year now. It is slowly getting worse. Is there a solution. Is it expensive?
