Hopefully your tub is not too old because this will make replacing the nozzles very difficult as they are no longer made. If in fact you have a Jacuzzi Brand bath you can get what is still available for bath jets here. The diagrams will give you an idea of how they come apart.
Sounds like a bad heating element. This is located in a stainless steel tube under or around the main control box behind the cover around the tub. It is not hard to replace but should be done by a pro. The part is avaliable online.
The heater will only fire if it has water in it. If you just got the house, make sure the gas/electric to the heater is on. Turn off the pump and turn it back on.. See if that works. good luck
im not a great expert in this field but try putting some dish washer tablets in water when running to see if they can clean out anything,about 3/4 tabs
Many time leaks around pumps are a simple o-ring that needs to be cleaned and/or tightened. If the jets are leaking from the back side then the jet will have to be removed and resealed.
