I have just re-installed Windows XP Sp3 and run drivers cd for Biostar g31-M7 te motherboard. Everything ok except no audio. At Device Manager, there is "? Other Device" with "PCI Device". Please help.

1.download the audio driver for the appropriate model number of the mother board and install it.
2.If it says "there is other device with pci device"it means the bios is recognizing a pci sound card.if you did install a sound card load the appropriate driver cd that came with your sound card.if this does'nt work try step 3.
3.if no sound card was installed then then uninstall the driver for the pci device or uninstall both drivers and try loading the appropriate driver from the motherboard manufacturer website if non of these steps work.
4.Search for the appropriate motherboard bios update then try loading appropriate audio drivers.
Check bios setting and v erify that audio codec(AZALIA) is turned on
