What browser are you using, and are you able to provide a version number? This can be found by going to the browser name (such as Safari or Firefox) while the application is open, and select "About XXXX" (XXXX being the browser).

I recently changed the password for my hotmail account. Since then I am unable to receive any emails

Be sure and look at the top when you open the emails. They may have categorized your email into things like "Focused" and "Other" and set up filters. Your emails may be there under another category. They didn't announce that they were going to do this. Personally I don't like it at all.

Please tell what error you receive when try to log-in your account at home or abroad. Please also tell which email server you are using? Is that any private email server like "yahoo", "hotmail", "gmail" or any official email id allocated to you by your company.

I am unable to open hotmail on my laptop. I can access it in 2 other computers in the home and at work but not on mine.

Hotmail is accessed thru your internet browser (in this case most likely Safari), there can be many reasons for it to fail but without getting more info I can only make a couple suggestions.
Try running the Disk Utility; on the left side of the program window click on your hard drive, to the right other options should appear, click on First Aid the on Repair Disk Permissions. This can solve many issues.
Have you tried using another browser?
If you don't want to do that then post as much about the problem as you can and that will allow someone to help you better.

How to set up your hotmail account on samsung jet. i am on o2. it keeps telling me that i need an incoming server type (POP3 or IMAP4) an incoming server & outgoing server(SMTP) i assume that these are...

I have the following (and complete) list of settings on my Jet for my hotmail account and it is receiving and sending emails correctly. (After seeing 6 posts and none with a full solution, something needs to be done .. RAGE!!)
Account name - "random name" SMTP sever - smtp.live.com SMTP port - 25 Secure Connection - TLS Incoming Server Type - POP3 POP3 Server - pop3.live.com POP3 port - 995 APOP login - unchecked Secure connection - SSL Download limit - 50 IMAP4 incoming email - New (faded out tho) Retrieving option - Subject only Keep on server - checked My address - [email protected] User name - [email protected] Password - **my hotmail acc password** POP before SMTP - unchecked SMTP auth. - checked Same as POP3/IMAP4 - unchecked User name - [email protected] Password - **my hotmail acc password**
Some tech info to help problem solve. POP3 is the technology involved with receiving email, SMTP is involved with sending. (Lots of people saying they could receive but not send, but their SMTP settings weren't correct)
