I have a Laser 30 in a brand new 24'x24' garage with 9' ceiling, 2"x6" walls(R20) and R40 ceiling. Building is well insulated and very tight. It's been -15 to -20 celsius here lately and it will only make 50 degrees F inside. It is on the high setting and runs steady to do this. Is there something wrong with the heater or is it too small for the application? Randy
I had the Laser 30 serviced a few days ago, and it works properly now. the burner pot was very sooted up, hard crust of carbon in the bottom inch or better which was drasticlly cutting down the heat output(at least 50 per cent) Also put a new fuel pump in and now it puts out a lot more heat. Would strongly advise that these are service at least every two years. Randy
Heating and cooling is rated in btu.or could be watts.for your space to be heated quickly to say 70 deg f. you may need a heater with a rating of 36000 btu.it will heat u up then shut off.if you use a smaller heater it will take longer to heat thus using more energy for the same results.
Make sure you put the black cup back on the end of the motor shaft and that it is pressed all the way on. Make sure the RPM sensor is plugged in. If neither of these are the issue, then you probably did not have the motor shaft pushed all the way back when you tightened the coupler after replacing the worm gear. Loosen that coupler up and from the front of the motor (opposite end in which the coupler is on) push the shaft back as far as it will go. Hold it there while you tighten the coupler back up and then try it.

Yes, I understand that process, but I still can't get the inside temp to go above 49-50 celsius. My question is, is the Laser 30 too small for the job, or is there something wrong with my Laser 30? Randy
Ok, I understand now what you mean. I'm thinking I should move up to the laser 56 model then. Thanks for your help. Randy
