Sounds as though you have the set in zoom format. Check your remote for a screen format button and switch it to wide or normal format. This button may also be labeled as "Aspect" for aspect ratio which is the ratio of of width to height. Older sets had a ratio of 4:3 and the new wide screen sets are 16:9. In zoom format the pic. is expanded and pushes some of the pic. off the screen display area.

Picture is wider than the screean

There is a service menu that techs can use to adjust vertical and horizontal widths. If it is not an aspect ratio problem then it is likely that it needs to be adjusted.

The picture is wider then the screen on my rear projection tv

Are you using a cable box? Do you have aspect settings on your remote? Comcast cable boxes have a hd zoom button. This will push the sides of the picture out

Dull almost Foggy picture.

you need to take the screws out from around the screen in the back, on edges, go to the front and take the screws out from the bottom of the screen, should be 4 or 6 in the front, pick up on the screen and lift off, only about 8 pounds, now clean the little mirror in front of the projector, and clean the dust off the projector lence, that will solve it, iv had to do this on about 50 of thease tv's
