Bosch Aquastar 2400E LP Does Not Heat Water

I have a Bosch Aquastar 2400E LP tankless hot water heater. It began working intermittently, but now has stopped heating water all together. I have checked water flow. The gas flow is still the same as it has always been. The unit has power and does not display any error codes. It almost seems like it doesn't know that water is flowing. I have checked and cleaned the intake screen. What could be the problem?

Do you have a remote monitor? If so (REMOVE PWR) try lifting the wires on one end or the other. Restore power - open faucet and see if you get hot water.

Sounds like the water flow sensor and servo, may just need cleaning, get it checked out by a Bosch agent

I have a Bosch GWH 425 HNO propane Tankless Water Heater which began intermittently exploding when demand for hot water occurs.

Call a qualified service tech immediately.
Gas explosion indicates dirty combustion parts, and gas is not fully igniting when tankless turns on the gas. So gas builds up and then explodes causing serious damage to tankless, and serious risk to homeowner.

Pilot light works but no flame. Somehow, think it overheated due to stoppage of water flow at sink.

Before calling service technician, open following links for Bosch troubleshooting resources:

All tankless and tank-type gas water heaters require regular cleaning and maintenance.
It is unknown if your unit needs maintenance or repair parts, but catching up on maintenance using information from manual is good place to start.
Gas appliances are increasingly complicated and experienced technician is good resource to have in local area before installing tankless.

My water heater emits a loud high pitched whistle when it is venting. Any ideas how to correct this?

I have an AquaStar tankless and it has started making that high pitched sound when in use. I wonder if that means I have clean the heat exchanger. I called Bosch but they won't help since it is installed in a bathroom--in violation.

I have a 250SX aquastar Bosch tankless hot water heater . It keeps going out on EC code; whats wrong? Also I've been running the unit for about a 9 months without hooking up the condensate dain line.

The 250 MUST have the condensate line connected. EC comes from gas supply problems and CO2 levels not being adjusted. LP units require 3/4" smooth gas pipe or 1" corrugated pipe minimum size. The LP regulator needs to be turned up to about 13 inches of water column and with all the gas appliances on, measure no less than 11 inches of water column. The CO2 levels must be measured by a qualified gas technician with a calibrated (with in 6 months) CO2 analyzer.
