Audio driver problem

I just formatted and installed xp-home on my asus m2n-mx , amd athalon, 64x2.....when i try to install the soundmax audio drivers from the mother board cd it says the system does not support the hardware.....where as xp-professional sp-2 didnt have any problem.....any solution for this????/

        in xp sp-2 we face the problem audio driver problem.our pc want the audio high definitio driver but not in the m/b cd

You should install the Chips drivers or intall all the driver in series listed in your CD Utilities. Its good if you download the latest drivers of your system at www.asus.com or here: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

You should download for 64x2 drivers.

Had the same problem with the onboard sound. If you are installing WinXP browse the CD you will find a folder under the sound drivers called "HotFix"... install this into XP *before* installing the audio drivers. Moreover, you should install the audio drivers *before* anything else.

Service Pack 3 for XP includes the fix and it all installed quite nicely so long as I put the sound drivers in before the chipset drivers.

Yes, you are right, It is possible that your motherboard cannot support Vista O.S.. Reinstalling Windows XP
O.S. will prove it. If XP works, you 100% right.

It is better to install   windows xp..  because   2003  is not supportting  latest mother boards.
only windows xp  will solve that problem

not all drivers work withdifferent versions of the same OS you have to search for the correct drivers on the internet.Use google to search for the brand of motherboard with the correct version number and then find the correct drivers for XP Home.
