Norstar M7208, it's direct line number is diverting to another ph

It could be a simple as the phone has call forwarding to another extension set up on it or the direct line could also be programmed on the other set. Does the screen on the non- ringing m7208 display "forward to:xxx" or does it display the current day and time?

Call display won't work as the phone system M7310 keeps picing up on the first ring. I have changed the Auto Attendant and the ccr # of rings but that doesn't help

Try this - keep the handset in the cradle and press:
"Feature 9 8 2", the system will prompt you for a password.
The default password is: "O P E R A T O R"
Scroll through the items by pressing "Next".
The "Answer Lines" should be changed to N(o) to stop the Auto Attendant from answering. You will need to wait at least 2 rings for the system to process the Caller ID info & display it on the phone.
Good Luck!

It may be that you have the forward no answer parameter set to 1 ring on ANY of the phones you have programmed to ring on those lines. Make a call to your system from your cell and see what answers....the auto attendant (you can dial another ext) or a voice mail box. If your system is equipped, we offer remote programming services.

We have a Norstar - Meridian M7310 phone system. Today for some unknown reason when an incoming call comes in, the ring is two short rings rather that the "longer" ring that we normally have. I have...

The two short rings is telling you that the call is either a transfered call (answered by someone else and transfered) or answered by an auto attendant and transfered. Watch the ringing phone when the call comes in and see if the intercom LED blinks.

Need Caller ID displayed on Nortel StarTalk Flash/M7310

A question: -> does your phone ring? -> what software are you running on the system? If you know this will help a little in giving you more information. There is a Feature that you can dial if your phone rings... when there is a call coming in, dial FEATURE 8 1 1 You can even make this a button rather than dialing this feature code everytime: -> Feature * 3 -> press the button that you want to program -> dial Feature 8 1 1

M7310 phone not ringing audibally

If the internal calls dont ring, then there is something with the extension. When a call is ringing the phone, press the UP VOLUME. Chances are that someone accidentally turned the ringer all the way down.

Let me know if that doesnt work.

Okay first you'll need to know the 2 digit "Set" number for your Phone.
Press "Featire" *0 then Intercom to get the 2 digit number.

Okay Now we need to configure:
Press "Feature" **CONFIG or **266344
Press: Next until "Sets" appears "press Show" Top Right Button
Enter 2 digit "Set Number"
Press Next Until You Get Ringing Lines
Hit the "Change" Button to Turn the Line to "Yes" to ring
Do this for each Line you have that you want to ring.

M7310 Panic Button

Not sure which system you have but it sounds to me like you are looking to make a group that contains all your phone extensions. It's like calling an extension number for a specific phone but in this case it would be a group extension number that contains a list of all your phones. It may be called a "hunt group" and you would want to set it up so all phones ring simultaneously, not in order. Then you program a key on all your phones to call that group extension number.

Voicemail

It sounds like you are using a voicemail service from a provider, meaning you did not buy the voicemail system with the phone system. If you confirm, I can tell you how to fix this.
