Where does the return spring attach to?

To reattach the return spring on your Hitachi C12LSH miter saw, follow these steps:
  1. Ensure that the miter saw is unplugged and turned off for safety.
  2. Locate the yellow protective cover on the miter saw. This cover is designed to shield the blade when the saw is not in use.
  3. Look for the small metal hook or attachment point on the yellow cover where the return spring should be connected.
  4. Inspect the return spring itself and identify the end that needs to be attached to the yellow cover.
  5. Align the end of the return spring with the attachment point on the yellow cover.
  6. Apply pressure and securely attach the end of the spring to the attachment point. It may require some force to hook the spring into place.
  7. Once the spring is properly attached, test the yellow cover by pulling it away from the blade. It should spring back into place when released.
If you are having difficulty locating the attachment point or need further assistance, consult the user manual for your Hitachi C12LSH miter saw. The manual should provide specific instructions and diagrams for reattaching the return spring. If you don't have the manual, you can usually find it on the manufacturer's website or by contacting Hitachi customer support.

Replacing a Pedal Arm Return Spring on the Stairmaster 4000PT Stepper

How To Replace a Spring on Stairmaster 4000PT
  1. Remove bottom cover.
  2. Unhook the pedal arm return spring from the spring hanger.
  3. Detach the spring from the step chain by removing the master link. The spring-chain connector is in good condition if it has an hour glass shape. Replace a worn spring-chain connector.
  4. Check to ensure that the spring pulley turns freely and is not worn excessively. Refer to the "Spring Pulley" section if you have to replace the pulley.
  5. To reinstall th spring, connect it to the end of the step chain using the master link.
  6. Route the spring under the spring pulley.
  7. Hook the end of the pedal arm return spring onto the spring hanger. WARNING: Do not twist the spring during installation. It will wear excessively and reduce the life of the spring.

Return spring keeps on letting loose and doesn't work

Spring is broken. Sometimes hard to see. Hopefully is is at the end or close where the spring hooks to the housing. All you will have to do in that case is bend the spring and place back in slot. If broken in the middle, you will have to replace spring. Spring may be hard to find but you may find one on ebay or one of the saw forum sites. Just type McCulloch + the model no in google.

Poulan 3400 chainsaw throttle trigger

Its a missing or broken spring in the handle(trigger). If you look inside the handle you should see a circular spring around the post of the trigger. This spring returns trigger to idle position. If its missing or broken the trigger won't spring back.
