Hook the DVD Combo unit to the Video input of the TV. Not through your Dish Box. Then to View the DVD/VCR, switch the TV to the Video Input. Good Luck and have a great weekend

First, you need to run the coax cable from your satellite dish to the "cable in" input on the back of your satellite receiver, not the Bose. If your satellite receiver has an HDMI OUT, and if the Bose has an HDMI IN,run hdmi OUT from the rec. to the Bose IN, then keep your HDMI connection from the Bose OUT to the TV IN as is. Make sure you've selected the correct input on the TV menu. As it is right now, you're not delivering any video signal at all to the TV!! -only audio(red and white). There are a couple other ways, but they won't give you the same quality. I assume this is HD, right? If you CAN do it this way (i.e. if you have enough HDMI ins and outs), it's the best possible hookup and you won't need the composite (red, white and yellow) at all. By the way, it's the yellow connector that carries the video signal; the red and white are audio left and right. If you can't hook it up all HDMI, disconnect the "separate cable" (I'm not sure what that is or what kind of cable or what it's for)and plug in the yellow connector into video IN on the Bose.
Make sure the input is hooked in properly first, also make sure it's coming out from dish to inputs on tv and turn tv to the input you are hooked too and then try turning on dish and off to see if you can see anything
Try hooking it to another tv and see if it works then, if not then it's not your tv but your satellite system cable not connected inside or outside, or your dish is not pointed n the right direction
Without knowing the actual ports on each of these devices, all I can suggest is that have you tried connecting your DVD to the Dish box (thru VCR scart connection at the back of the Dish box) and then the Dish box into your modulator (and then modulator into your tv.
I have a similar system set up but we have a Sky Digital box here, no idea if its the same as a Dish box but im assuming so.
should go from your satellite to dish box might say sat on bck of box then the next [connection think says tv that should go to tv itsself or dvd vcr whatever ur hooking up to it then from that point hook it to ur tv
Hello matthew95765,
The TV is working, the message is coming from the dish box. What you need to do is to determine if the dish box is connected to the dish and that it has signal at the box, because the message it is delivering to the TV is that it is not receiving signal from the satellite. so you have to check the connection at the satellite and at the box because those are the only point that can generate the error you are getting.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,

DO you have manuals for all the units listed? If not , try the Samsung consumer site. It would take me quite a while to figure out your situation even with manuals and I have a business to run besides.
Also, ask some questions of Tech Support at Samsung..Let them KNOW how much you spent on their stuff.
