Try opening the computer in safe mode (F8 key). as soon as the computer starts. If you can open in safe mode you can undo the restoration, if not you have to do a complete reinstall of windows.

The system restore probably undid something really essential for the computer to work properly. Try hitting F8 when the computer is booting up, boot into safe mode, log in as admin and try to undo the last restore you did.

Dead dell touchpad x(

Have you tried System Restore? If not familiar... Start Button ---> Help ---> System Restore ---> "Restore my computer to an earlier date" --> choose an appropriate date, maybe a few days earlier than the problem.

Re-boot and see if works! If you are ceratin that the problem arose simply from hibernating, then restoring should do the trick!

Hope this helps!

Need registry key to to install printer

Assuming you are running Windows XP, you may be able to repair this issue if you "restore" your computer to an earlier date.

This is a process by which Windows remembers a time when your computer functioned properly, and sets your computer to those settings. Most of the registry problems can be fixed in this manner.

To access Restore feature, click Start and find Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, then System Restore.

A window should open that asks if you would like to create a restore point, or restore your computer to an earlier date. Choose this later option.

The next screen should show you a calendar. The dates which are bold are dates that you can choose to restore your computer.

You may not fix the problem on the first try; so choose the most recent bold date, and restore. If the printer still will not install, repeat the process with the next older date.

Unfortunately, if this process does not allow you to repair your computer's software, a reinstallation of the operating system may be required.

Good luck....tony

Just bought an acer aspire ax1200-b1581a.it worked fine for a few days now it will pop up there was a problem with the internet and shut the itnernet down,it started out going blue screen and at the bottom...

I think the problem is related to virus. Try restoring your PC to an earlier date 9 a date when it worked fine). You do this from Start-> Programs -> Accesories -> System Tools -> System Restore. Select
Restore my computer to an earlier time and Click Next. A date calender will appear, select the preferred date and click Next twice. The system will automatically restart when restoration is done.

If u are not abe to run System Restore then you need to enter safe mode by pressing F8 during booting and selecting Safe Mode from the menu that appears. In safe mode you will be asked a question, you have to select no, and system restore will start

If restoring your pc does not solve the problem then you may need to reinstall your OS.
