First remove brew unit and clean the shower screen that is under the red gasket, then adjust the grind about 2 numbers coarser, then try making a coffee, if you have the same problem then the steam valve needs to be replaced.

When I try to brew a cup of coffee, it grinds the beans but then the only thing that comes out is hot water from the steam wand.

Not a solution but I have exactly the same issue. I found the Technical Service Manual on line a performed all self tests but it passed then all. The problem started after I didn't use the unit for a couple of months.

I have a saeco Talea Giro machine. When I press the button to make coffee, the beans grind but no coffee comes out, but raher the water comes out of the steam spout. What is the solution

Check the screen on the brew unit, it might be blocked. If the brew unit is cleaned and the problem is still happening then the steam valve needs to be rebuilt because the pins are allowing the water pressure to pass through.

The valve parts need to be replaced, if it is only happening when brewing coffee then there is so much pressure on the pump that it is forcing the valve open. First try adjusting the amount of coffee be added to the chamber for brewing.
