HDMI failure Samsung HL-R5087W 50 in HDTV

Samsung HL-R5087W 50 in. HDTV Television. Had HD cable box working on HDMI port for months. Turn on TV today, TV says "No Signal or Weak Signal". Picture is black. Moved HDMI cable to HD DVD player. Same result. Tried a new HDMI cable. Same result. Power-reset every device in my home theater. Same result. Component video inputs continue to function normally. Looks like an HDMI port failure on the TV? Is there a diagnostic I can run? Is there anyting else to try?

After reviewing the service manual for this set, the problem is is in the DIGITAL BOARD. To get the right Digital Board you will need the Version number of the TV.

HDMI port on xbox 360 has bent pins

Bent pins are a tough problem. In a lot of cases when you try to straighten them they break off. The best system to try is with very small needle nose pliers. Gently grasp each bent pin and bend. They don’t have to be perfect but close. Work on one at a time and work slowly. Still it is just a chance it will not break. Good Luck.

The Samsung Television has 3 HDMI inputs, You would connect an HDMI cable from the Cable box to your television and go into a menu on the television to select the appropriate HDMI input.

New cable boxes should have the HDMI connection.

Most Flat screen televisions I've seen have an input button on the television itself. Pushing it should allow you to switch between inputs.
