Securilock problem for your remote start? Check when you try to start it, if the security light is flashing fast it is probably the PATS (security system) bypass. To reprogram it you will need two keys. First insert the first one and turn it to the run position. When the security light shuts off insert the second key and turn it to run. Once the light has gone off the second time pull the key out and hit the start button on the remote start fob, this all has to be done in 10 seconds. The vehicle will start, shut it off and try it again. If it doesn't start look to see if the security light is flashing fast again if it is the bypass needs to be replaced. If the light isn't flashing fast and it still doesn't start it should be honking at you or flashing its lights, count these then look in your manual it will tell you what is wrong. If none of these work let me know and I will help you. You can also check out my profile I have a tip that is about remote starts.
unfortunately, ford does not allow this. Instead the system can only be programmed to add up to 8 different codes. The only alternative is to replace the security control unit.
There are several configurations of the same security system. But one sure fire way to correct this issue is to get a bypass kit. Any shop that installs remote startups has the ability to bypass this system. Since the sytem measures the resitance of the key/lock and asociated wiring any shorting of those wires will make it very difficult to defaet without some expertise.
Sometimes the remote atart kit also includes the bypass, so you can get two for one here.
I had the same issue with my remote start on another vehicle, the part that bypasses the code on the key had to be reset. The way we figured it out was everything was normal except the vehicle did not start & the security light flashed rapidly.
the amp is in the rear panel pass side if you have the Mach sound system. There are 5 wires going into the amp and 2 going out to the sub.
