Hi, normally when changing ink cartridge, once you open the cover the printer head move from home to the center of the printer and halted,if in case this not happen something wrong with the sensor, if the printer move from home to center just pull off the power cord to stop the printer at the middle or nearly at the middle just to remove the cartridge and replace it. Upon replacing the ink cartridge, just power on the printer and it will return home to its position.
just press the ink button (with the drop symbol) once and the carriage will move to change ink position, you can now change the cartridge. when your done, just press the ink button once again.
Turn the printer on and open the lid. After a short while, the printer
carriage unit containing the print head and ink cartridges will stop
right in the middle of the printer, so you can easily replace the ink
cartridges. After replacing them and ensuring they're fully seated,
simply close the lid. The printer will run a few quick self-diagnostic
checks and run a purge cycle, and it'll be good to go.
hi turn off the printer open lid move cartridge carrier to the middle, this should allow you to change the cartridge, then close the lid and turn on printer this should reset carrier to home position.
Printer is fairly new....have changed the inks once.....lost the
book, I guess,,,,,anyway, I THOUGHT I changed the black also,
but I have no black ink. I got a new cartridge, but don't know
how to install it......menu?? instructions? feel ignorant???
