I am doing a scout project I need to know the 8 basic symbols and names on a standard circuit diagram

Basically standardization boils down to something set so the most amount of people will know what it is. That is probably a terrible explination but think of it this way. No matter where you are in USA you know you can dial 911 even a small child can tell you that because it's standard. Same with maps it has standards to keep them uniform. If maps didn't have standards there would be 100 symbols for the same thing and no one would ever be able to read them. Hope this helps some

No lights ? What light's ? headlamps , dash lights , The check engine light , battery symbol . Did you check fuse's .Power to PCM / ECM , Power to ignition system etc... You need to do some basic electrical test's to know for sure . Go on youtube an check out voltage drop testing the starting system an charging system . If your anti-theft system light ( symbol of car an padlock ) is on then your anti-theft system is at fault .
