Recovery discs aren't working on my hp cq60-615dx, what should I try next?

Appears that recovery disk #2 is bogus. U can try to get a new set from HP (fat chance!) or you can do a reload from a normal, retail OS disk.

I have an Acer Aspire 5253/BZ815 that is only 7 months old. 2 of 3 USB ports don't work, webcam stopped working and sound is going out. How do I get these things fixed?

From your description the motherboard is failing or windows device drivers are corrupted, if it is the device drivers you can attempt a system recovery from the hard drive or DVD disc which will reset everything back to factory default with a fresh install of windows. But if you find there is no change your manual should list aurthorized service centre's closest to you, or go online for customer and technical support.

Can't read the disc

Well the disc's might be scratched or dirty so try cleaning the disc's with a soft cloth and cold water and next check to see if there are any scratches on them if the disc's are severly scratched at a point where the wii can't read then. Or it might be the disc drive then. Go with the old consoles they live longer and don't break down as fast gamepacks live longer than disc's do.

I lost my cd and i have tried to find a softare for my creative live webcm vf00505 to install it and i have all the time please help me find a sotfware that is compartable for my windows 7

Hi,

Regarding your request, vf 00505 webcam is only compatible with Windows XP Professional. Even if you have the disc, you will still have issues loading it because the firmware of the webcam can handle up to Windows XP alone and not Window 7. I believe you got this webcam back when Windows 7 was not known to computers.

Sorry to have not helped you out but I don't want to give you false hope. Thank you for visiting FixYa!

How to restore hp pavilion dv4000 to factory settings

The way to restore most PCs to factory settings is to reinstall Windows. First, MAKE SURE you have the Windows disc that came with your computer and the drivers/utilities disc that came with it.

To start restoring, put the Windows disc in that came with your computer, and run it. Find the option to install/reinstall Windows, and select it (you may have to boot from the disc, which can be done by changing the boot order in BIOS settings). Follow the instructions Windows Setup gives you.

After you're done with that, don't freak out if the sound, wireless, touchpad, etc. isn't working. Insert the drivers/utilities disc now and install all the drivers that are on it onto your laptop.

You are now done with the restore process!

My ACER cd/dvd scb265 combo doesn't read some DVD data disk

Windows Vista by default burns "Live File System" It picks if its Live or not when you are "Preparing the blank disc" this is when it asks you what to you want to title the disc. The problem with Live discs is they don't work on any operating system that came before Windows XP and they don't work on Windows XP if it doesn't have service pack 3. Because of this, you want to burn your CD/DVD as a "Mastered" disc. These are compatible with all operating systems, but any files are permanent *unless you are using CD/RW or DVD/RW, DVD/RAM.

If this was not your problem, please leave a comment and I will get back to you and try to fix your problem =)
