Good day,
I read up on the specs of the frame and it does not have an internal memory, thus you will have to have the sd card inserted at all times to display photos.

SOURCE: Cannot locate info. on what SD Cards I can use in my Kodak CD40
According to the specifications, there is no flash memory card slot in this model. The only way to transfer pictures is via serial cable to your computer.
SOURCE: I have a Kodak SD card for my digital camera. It
well it does not mean for sure the card is bad, but a sign. If you have a computer you can plug it into you might be able to reformat the sd card. other wise you will have to get a new one since fixing a sd cards hardware is close to impossible. but good thing these cards are cheap and you can get them for $10 on Newwegg.com

You might have too much data on the SD card. Try with less pics onto the card.
