You need to have it serviced after five years. At the very least, clean the pre-motor filter. It is washable.

if you have not done so, replace the belt, part# 902514-01. you can buy it at Sears Website or Service Center.

Firstly check that the pre filter has been cleaned. this should be washed at least once every 6 months, more often if you use your machine regularly.

It would also be worth following the full blockage procedure as outlined in the user guide or in the Support section on our website at www.dyson.com.

My dyson cyclone assembly will not spin when it...

I have 2 dyson dc07. The cyclone assembly will not spin when dirt is picked up, but when I change them out the vacuum is fine, so I know it is the cyclone assembly. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum.
It sounds to me that you may have a clog but when you said you changed them out the vacuum is fine, so a couple of things, if the vacuum is still under a factory warranty of 1 or 2 years the cyclone assm still would be under a factory warranty. If it is over the 1 or 2 years then you would have to replace the cyclone assm but you may want to check with the Dyson Factory Tech Support / customer Service line as per the problem, and they can ship you the part from the factory or to check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area and they may have one in stock or they can order one for you. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
