1.5 year old Maytag Legacy Series Quiet Series 300 Lock Light on

1.5 year old Maytag Legacy Series Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher. Locked Light (3) suddenly turned on yesterday. I can't turn it off or run dishwasher. What's going on?

Hold down the heated-dry button for 3 seconds and the light will clear.

    Wow...Thank you. I just had the same problem and could not find the manual. It lost some where. Luckily I found the answer here. Thank you eplajones.

    This was such an awesome tip! it needs to be on the first page of search instead of the second, because one tip I saw on the first page said to replace the circuit board. This tip was much easier (and cheaper too!). Thanks!

I have a maytag quiet series 300 dishwasher. On the control panel there is a green light on next to a picture of what appears to be a lock with a number 3 in the middle of it. I am not able to use my...
press and hold the heated dry button 3 seconds it will unlock the dishwasher. That 3 with the lock around it show you that the dishwasher has been locked out to keep buttons from being able to be pushed. You can lock it and unlock it by holding the heated dry button 3 seconds.

try running your disposal for a few minutes and then run through the rinse cycle. mine does this too sometimes and i just need to clean my disposal in my sink as some stuff gets caught up in it.

My Maytag Quiet Series 300 light is blinking 5 times by the lock button. It won't do anything else other than blink 5 times if any other button is hit. Help!!
When Control Lock is lit, all buttons are disabled. If you press
any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light flashes
5 times. The dishwasher door can be opened while the
controls are locked.

To turn off Lock, press and hold Heated Dry for at least
3 seconds.

Mine was doing the same thing and I just pressed and held down the heated dry button until the light went off. Then I was able to start my machine as usual. Hope this works for you.

Maytag quiet series 300
Maytag Quiet Series 300. The lights flash in sequence starting from the outside traveling inward. The timer counts backwards from 50 to 1. Then the sequence starts over. and continues over and over. I'm able to clear it when the time reaches 1 or 2. It stays off for a while (3-4 hours) then starts over. I can not clear the countdown until it reaches 1 or 2. After I clear it the dishwasher will work, but until then, no way. This happens with the door open or closed.
