How to for Belt replacement and solution to suction loss

I have a Eureka Contour Bagged Upright vacuum that is a couple of years old. Just recently it lost suction. When using the accessories/attachments, however, this is plenty of suction power. I've changed the bag, filters and cleared the brush of hair, etc. I've also checked for any obstructions and have found none. I'm wondering if the belt needs replacing as the brush makes an unusual pattern on the carpet. The vacuum was a gift and I did not receive the manual. Thanks

It was the belt - just need replacing, which I did.

    Thanks anyway.

It is simply your belt - replace it.

The suction you said is fine with attachments, so the belt is not turning the carpet brush

You say it lost its suction, then you also say this is plenty of suction power, seems you cant figure out the prob. Try cleaning the fan on the suction blower. The blades can get chocked with dust which will give you a reduced suction.

I have a bravo 2 eureka bagged upright suction is very bad changed bag cleaned roller still bad what should i do next

Replace the belt if it is over a few months old. Even if the suction is great it won't pick up dirt very well if the belt is stretched out.

I have a Eureka Contour model 2900 type A upright vacuum, the roller works fine nothing clogged, took it apart motor blade is free of debris, no suction from tube and blasts OUT air from the front HEPA...

Even with your explanation,it seems the hose is clogged.Try taking the hose off, then blow through it or pour water through it.If this doesn't do it,make sure the suction canals are going to the proper areas.

Lossing suction, especially hand held

did you check the hose to see if there is a slice in it somewhere. Alot of times you can get caught on something or bend it the wrong way and it will crack the hose causing suction loss. The other possibility is a clogged filter somewhere in the system or your bag is too full

I have a Eureka 4800 series the Boss upright with a bag and Hepa filter. I love it! I was just vacuuming with the hose part and all was well and then suddenly the lower brush came on and a "burning" smell...

I had the same problem. Take out the old belt if possible. Remove the 4 screws inside the filter and the 3 on the front of that housing. pull out the foam around the motor. carefully pull out the suction tube that is press fit against the motor. then you can pull the motor out. place it on its side, shaft side up and grab your hammer. tap down the metal sleeve that has been rubbing against the plastic housing. reinstall everything including a new belt and you should be good to go.

Replace the belt on a Eureka contour model 2900 upright vaccum. I just want to see a picture of the way it comes apart. It a almost new and just needs the belt replaced.

I have listed below a link to the owners manual for your model and a link where you can purchase the belt you need. Hope it helps you!

Eureka 4331 (Boss Lite) vacuum doesn't pick up dirt anymore

I no more use Eureka 4331 (Boss Lite). But the most common reason for not picking up dirt might be the vacuum bag might be full. Need to be Clean or replace as recommended by the manufacturer or The air filter traps particles as the air travels through the vacuum cleaner. If the filter is clogged, the vacuum cleaner will not have proper suction. If your vacuum filter is clogged, refer to your owner's manual for cleaning instructions. I recommend having Eureka Power Speed for yourself. 7_21_2021_9_09_38_am.jpg
