When F5 comes up on the Duets it means "water temperature Sensor Error". what you need to check is the sensor, (which you have indicated has been changed), the heating element and the element relay. check all the connections to the Sensor, element and the relay first. hope this helps.

GHW9100LW displayed F5

"F05" is an indication of a water temperature sensor (NTC) error. Check the Water Temperature Sensor and check connections to the Water Temperature Sensor. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608669-f05_error_code

In many cases the electrical connection to the sensor comes loose due to washer vibration and needs to be reconnected.

The part number (if required) is 8181705 and listed as "NTC" at pcappliancerepair.com. Just type in your model number and you will find the part under the "Tub and Basket" heading as item 24. If the readings check good, post back and let me know. You may have problems in the heating circuit and/or a defective heating element. I hope this helps you.

Error message "F5"?

F5 is a Water Temperature Sensor Error If during the water heating step in wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, or the heating element circuit has failed, the "F/05" error code will be displayed. If you are savvy enough to troubleshoot yourself, you can check the Water Temperature Sensor, Heating Element and Element Relay. You should also check connections to the Sensor, Heating Element and Relay. As far as servicing goes, Sears and Whirlpool have service contracts on these appliances as the Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet are the same machine made by Whirlpool. I hope this helps you.
