No spin cycle

Washing machine stopped before spin cycle.  Clothes are heavy and wet.  Door is locked.  There is a noise as if the machine wants to spin but it can't.

Sounds like a pump problem. If the tub is full of water, it likely won't spin...it's just too much for the motor. The pump is supposed to do it's job first by pumping out all of the water so the motor can spin the tub. I bet the noise you hear is the belt trying to run in a seized v-belt pulley.

Change the pump...bet that does the trick.

Zwp1121p Spinning but clothes still we5 through

Is the spin cycle reaching full spin speed or is it not spinning as fast as it should? If it isn't reaching full speed it could be caused by an uneven load (as this will stop some machines from spinning properly). Towels and items which get very heavy when wet can cause this.

My kenmore 417 wahser making too much noise, it looks like the inner tub hitting the outer plastic housing. How can I fix it?

Have you tried moving the clothes around in the drum to balance the drum BEFORE you was them? If that works, you have solved the problem! Most people forget that when cloth gets wet it gets heavy so leaving the clothes unevenly placed in the drum dry will make a real problem when they get wet!

The spin cycle on my washing machine is not working, the clothes are still wet when the cycle is finished

Make sure that the clothes are not too heavy ( jeans and sweats ), and put in the machine evenly. If the machine is off balance, it won't spin fast enough to wring out the clothes.

Door not locking nor spin cycle not working

Hi.

Before proceeding to spin the timer does a check on the lid switch.

You should be able to fix the problem replacing the lid switch.

My wash machine wash the clothes but not doing the final spin, all the clothes all soak and wet

Handyman here -

Its possible that the door is not locking properly. If the door doesn't lock the machine will wash, but not spin the clothes dry. If you wait 15mins or so after machine is done, then set cycle to spin, it will pump any water that has dripped off your clothes out, but again it will not spin. Helps a little.

Good Luck!

Stopped operating in the spin cycle

With a heavy blanket you probably have an out-of-balance condition which doesn't let the machine spin out and drain. This would keep the door lock from opening. Try hitting the Stop button twice. This should cancel the cycle and let the door lock open after a little while. Then either redistribute the load or add some items and run a Spin and Drain cycle.
