Roper washing machine does not fill for rinse cycle. Goes directly to rinse agitate without water.

Without Model number I am only guessing but I suspect you have a blocked sensing tube that travels from the Level selector switch to the side of the tub somewhere. It is possible for this plastic tube to become partially clogged and not allow trapped air to vent when tub is drained of water. Usually this problem manifests itself as an overflow of the tub. Check the full length of this clear hose and see if the end nearest the tub looks like it may have debris or dirty detergent clogging it.

This hose is pushed onto a nipple mounted to a reservoir on the side of the tub. Push a thin copper wire 4-5 inches into the those after removing from nipple and also down into the nipple an inch or two before reinstalling the hose to the nipple. You MIGHT even blow into the hose while you have it off and you SHOULD hear a clicking sound coming from the level selector switch body.

Good Luck. Come back with Model number under lid if that doesn't help.

I have a Kenmore washer #11026002010. I am having problems with the water overfilling and not progressing to the next cycle. Would you have info on the fault codes and also the recalibration procedure

Does it sound like it wants to spin? If so more than likely the motor coupler broke causing your washer to not spin. It is one of the most common parts that fail.

Anyhow Sears is the best bet for your answers they even list all the steps needed to trouble shoot.

Maytag stacked unit LSE7806ACE. dryer is fine , the washer will not fill or run, if I manually turn the timer to drain the tub spins and the lid switch works fine. But the unit won't do anything f

You have a timer problem, the contacts are welded in spin mode.
This is almost always caused by advancing the timer by hand when the dial is pulled out in the "ON" position, causing arcing of the contacts.

Fills correctly, won't agitate, drains correctly, won't spin. then goes off after it thinks it's completed the cycle.clothes remain soaked.

it is most likely your washing mode selector it tends to do that because the dial will stop turning and it will cause problems like that.

Won't spin

Close the door firmly and make sure the machine is turned on. Press and hold the Chime and Extra Rinse keys until the control beeps to enter Service Mode. All indicator lights will turn off except the "Door Lock' indicator signifying the door is locked.

Press the Rinse & Spin key then rotate the cycle selector knob in either direction to display the most recent error codes if there's any. Press and hold the cycle selector to display the number of cycles since the error occurred. List down at least five most recent codes and post it here for us to determine what the problem could be. Press and hold the Delay and Chime keys for three seconds to clear the list. Press the Rinse & Spin key again to exit diagnostic codes list.

Press the Spin Only key while in the Service Mode to begin the Board Input Test. Set the rotary cycle selector to Super Wash then press it to display the position of the door switch. "OP" will be displayed if the door switch is open or "CL" if it is close. Replace the door lock/switch assembly (part #34001265) when "OP" is displayed even the door is close. Press the Spin Only key again to exit the Board Input Test.

Press the Spin Speed key while in the Service Mode to begin the Board Output Test. If water is present in the tub, set the rotary cycle selector to Quick Wash then press it to turn on the drain pump and drain the water. Press the rotary cycle selector again when the water is fully drained to turn off the drain pump.

Press the Delay button to turn on the motor and the Delay indicator light. The machine should tumble clockwise then counterclockwise with 5 second durations each and 2 second intervals. Press the Spin Speed key again to exit the Board Output Test.

Press Off or press and hold Chime and Extra Rinse keys for three seconds to exit Service Mode. Unplugging the washer will also exit Service Mode.

Perform the tests above and let us know the results for us to determine the cause of the problem or the necessary action to undertake and give you the specific and detailed instructions on how to fix it.

Washer stopped spinning mid cycle does drain and fill whats the problem

Check to see if you advance the selector knob to the spin cycle. If it does spin at this time, then you have a problem with the selector knob. If it does not then you have a problem in the motor area.

No high speed spin cycle

Hi,

I just had a similar problem. The washer would just shut down prior to the high spin cycle. I had a service guy in and he had a diagnostics sheet. Did you get an error code? If you have the electronic. Turn the knob to the Drain/Spin mode and press both the "Options" and "Cancel" buttons simultaneously until all control panel lights are lit and flashing. Then turn the knob clockwise in click and the washer will then go into its diagnostics mode. With every click it should do something (i.e. fill, pump, drain, spin, etc..) continue turning 1-8 clicks. On the 9th click you should then get an error code. My code was E47, which I have already posted another possible solution. I could be either the door switch or the control panel. Remove the door switch by removing the wire around the rubber seal, then remove the 2 screws for the door switch and unplug the 3 plugs. Check the readings on the PTC (white plug on doorswitch). If the switch reads around 1500 ohms, then the problem is most likely the control panel.

To exit the diagnostics mode, the easiest way is to unplug the washer, wait 10 seconds, and then plug it back in.

The reading on my switch was 1398 ohms, which is close to 1500, so I ordered a new control panel. Hopefully, this will work.

Fills, washes, but won't drain or spin

Possible your outlet filter is blocked, it needs periodic cleaning, which the user can do himself. Locate where this is from your user's manual. Clean out, re-fix. Next it could be the hose that goes from the bottom of the tub to the filter pump; check the former first.
