Blower remains on when oven is turned off

When we turn the oven the blower remains on for about 30 minutes. is this normal?

I had the same problem and I thought that it was fine because the oven has to cool down after each cooking. But it turned out that the thermostat was broken because the blower remained on for almost 45 minutes every time! So I think it depends on how long is your blower working. And don't forget about electricity bills. I remember I was so confused to find out that our electricity bills got slightly higher for no reason. Then I understood that it happened because of the blower. I love to cook and use the oven really often and the electric blower worked for almost an hour every time! So we hired an oven repair service I've found onhttps://www.appliancetechnician.ca/oven-... and they've fixed it really fast.

Yes the thermostat under the cooktop has to cooldown before it shuts off.

Actually, I can tell that your thermostat of the oven broke down or the sensor, please check them both, because one of them donot send signal to the electrical board to shuts the fan down, I can tell that, because if you let a very hot plate even on the ground without any cooling device,it will cool down for just an hour, not 2and half hour.

Mine stayed on for 2 hours and 30 minutes after turning off on this occasion. It does seem unusually long!

Yes, it's totally normal. There is a thermal switch in the fan circuit to keep the blower running until the oven has cooled down. This is normal on most electric ovens. Now't to worry about.

My whirlpool RBD305PRS00 double oven wont heat up and is locked

The door and controls lock when the oven temp is very high or when on pyrolitic cooking if that is available on your oven. If the controls wont reset or the door wont open try turning the power off for about 30 minutes and then try again. reset the clock and hopefully the oven will return to normal..

On a Amana EvenAir convection Plus oven the convection blower comes on during the regular bake cycle.

There is a blower on the top of the oven, which turns on when the oven is hot enough. If the warm/hot air is coming out from top vent corners - this is the blower working. Even if you turn the oven off at that moment, the blower will still work until the oven cools down. This is normal.
