Our TV area (Granada UK) has recently (in the last week) started to shut down the analogue signal for TV and I have had to retune all the set top boxes in the house. They have worked fine with Freeview. However I have a 52" Aquos Sharp TV with Freeview and a number of the main channels cannot be downloaded, including the BBC. Is this a problem with the TV or is it something else. Is there a reset button anywhere?
Start by doing a factory settings/ defaults on the Sharp rather than a normal automatic retune. This should then be ok. You need to empty the existing presets first so it will find the new type of signal BBC is now using.
If still not working for BBC1 +2 then look at whether you have too much aerial signal strength. (ie a booster/splitter that you could bypass)
