Your TV only has a DVI input, not an HDMI which PS3 has as an output. You can buy a HDMI to DVI adapter and connect the HDMI out of the PS3 to the DVI input of the TV. To get the true HighDef video you need a HDMI input on the TV to enjoy the full capacity of the Blu ray capabilities of the PS3. DVI came out before the HDMI standard and your picture will look good but not like HDMI. I have the same problem with my samsung 65 inch. I Bought the wrong technology. I hope this helps and good luck!
First, connect the TV to the Playstation using the an HDMI cable.
Then, turn off the TV and turn it ON after turning on the Playstation.
Make sure that you've selected the correct input on the TV that corresponds to the input port on the TV to which the PS3 is connected.
You can select the input on the TV by using the TV remote.
Once the TV and PS3 are connected properly and correct input is selected on the TV, the TV should receive the video signal.
Any signal transmitted from PS3 in 720p, 1080i or 1080p is a high definition signal.
