Wash starts before water is full

Some times if the water level is set to a large load, the was cycle starts when there is only enough water for the small load in the washer. Vibration such as closing the lid hard can trigger this.

The lid interlock safety switch has been bypassed for a year since it failed.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Barham

Most washers if put on a large load do start going around before the water has finished filling this is just to get all the clothes fully wet before the proper cycle starts to wash them it is just how the washer copes with a large load peter

We have just purchased a Siemens WM10K20SZA. WE trying to fiure out which cycle uses the least amount of water as we have a terrible drought in the /western Cape.

set the water level for the wash load
in other words do not use full wash for a part load
next do not use deep rinse
really to save water only wash when there is a full load
save the water to the tub , not down the drain
use that for watering the garden
the second rinse water save to the tub and that is clean enough to use in the first wash next time as it is only rinse water

Any suggestions to washing machine which works with irregular water supply?

all models have a water level sensor in them that you set according to the wash load you have
when you turn them on the water flows until the level set switches off the inlet tap and proceeds to wash
regardless of the water pressures and delivery, the wash will not proceed until the water level setting is reached
the problem that you face is that during the rinse cycle , there may not be enough water available to rinse within the rinse/ spin cycle

Can you adjust the water level if you want more water for your wash cycle?

it may be possible if the water level pressure sensor has an adjustment for the pressure setting
or you could simply select full wash each time

LG Turbodrum DD 8.5kg WT-R852 washing machine, will not completely fill with water to water, to initiate the wash cycle, wash process stops there.

THE WASHER IS OBVIOUSLY HAVING A PROBLEM DETECTING THE WATER LEVEL? IT DETECTS AS FULL WHEN ITS NOT AND THEN GOES INTO DRAIN CYCLE? THE FILLS AGAIN? I would suspect the water pressure switch but if it was detecting a full cycle it would sent it into wash cycle? the water inlet valve only allows the amount of water it is told to send in and does not control the amount or drain cycle. Im not sure here but Im thinking maybe the water level switch may be flawed, the one that has low-medium and high? all these can be checked with a multimeter

Why doesn't my whirlpool thin twin fill up with enough water to was a large load?

No cannot over ride set at large doe the machine fill to a certain level then stop if so operating correctly if it never stops filling with water then there is a leak in the fill system either a hole in pressure switch hose it popped off tub or water leaking out thru drain system pump or siphoning thru hose again if unit starts to agitate there is enough water in unit per design

Whirlpool GSQ9669LW1 washer. Originally Load Size was set to small. After water was filled to that level and machine started to work, wanted to add more water. Turned the Load Size knob to Medium, nothing...

You would have to start the wash cycle all over in order to get enough water for the med load size. Once the washer starts it cycle you have to cancel that cycle to start a new one. Hope this is a help to your question

How do I maximize water levels in my whirlpool wfc7500vw washing machine? In other words, which cycle uses the most water, and/or how I can turn off the water sensor so that the machine uses extra water?

The water levels in you machine are set by a pressure activated diaphragm that is controlled by the knob with the levels settings around it or by the computer if you have a press button type.. Heavy or long wash cycles use the most water with light washes using the least. So to explain if you are washing blankets and you have a full 7.5 kg load to wash you would set the water level at high and heavy or full wash. You can disconnect the tube to the control unit but if you do that the bowl will keep filling over the top and the machine would not know when to start washing as the control unit reads enough water and moves the power to the motor while closing of the water solenoid. If you follow the instruction in the operators manual you will find that you save the most water at any wash requirement.

What is the capicity of a GE WWA7600S washer

Here is the user's manual:

http://genet.geappliances.com/DocSearch/pdf/49-9810.PDF

They never talk about weight or capacity other than

Setting the Controls

Use the Suggested Fabric and Cycle Settings guide ~ Select Rinse Temperature.

to help you make the proper selections.

~ Select Wash Spin Speed.

~ Push Cycle Selector knob in and turn clockwise to

your selected wash setting. If you wish to change setting

~ Select Water Level. ~ Pull Cycle Selector knob + START out to start the washer.

SMALL: Washer is less than 1/3 full of clothes.

MEDIUM: Between 1/3 and 1/2 full.

LARGE: Between 1/2 and 2/3 full.

This washer will pretty much take anything you can throw at it. It was a competetor of the Maytag large capacity washers. As long as you follow the loading guide above you are not going to hurt it.

Agitator starts at begining of cycle before washer is full

Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.

Kenmore 80 Series - water wont fill to full load

remove edge decore trims from left and right side front of control panel8b608f8.jpg
remove phillips screws from bottom corners of contol panel
remove knob from water level selector
raise control panel ~1 inch then flip over backwords on pivots
depress lock tab on right/underside of water level control body where it touches metal mount plate
rotate water level control body 45deg anti clockwise
pull body off
top side of body next to knob shaft is 1/8 hex head bolt
turn clockwise to rais water level
anticlockwise to lower water level
machine can be operated with this part not fitted so can check level. fill, adjust screw, fill will start again, adjust screw, until water level is correct
reinstall in reverse order
Incidentally, the cause is a VERY small wire spring inside the control body that is not really up to the task, and stretches over years.
Its a common occurrence, and I make this repair, on callouts, no parts required, couple times a month you may have to flip the switch to reset to get the water to restart filling
