If this unit is no longer under warranty, carefully open up the back and reseat all of hte cables and connectors. The signal levels inside the set are extremely low and any poor connection to the panel can cause noise which can show up like this. Try reseating everything first. If that fails to resolve the problem, then one of the logic boards will need attention.

Same exact thing happened to my Bravia today. I massaged the bottom screen panel region and it went away. Try it.

You said you massaged the bottom screen panel region. I am sorry but I am not clear on this. I am having a same issue and wanting to try the same solution as you did. Please let me know in detail. Thanks.

There is a small ledge that surrounds the entire screen. On the lower corner from where the line seems to emanate is where I gently rub that ledge. It doesn't work all the time. I have now had this line for about a year. It is always there when I first turn on the TV but is usually gone with 15-20 minutes.

My LG led has had several problems, it started out with the left half of the screen flipping as if viewed from a mirror with the right part of the screen normal. After that, it displayed vertical colored...

This problems are a very tipical of the coded pixels on the LCD screen panel passes through the board that call the T-CON decoder board to causing this problems.Vertical colors lines display on the LCD screen panel happen by itself.Yes.The T-CON decodering board it is dying and shorting out. This T-CON decodering board sit in the middle at the botton of the LCD screen panel.Replacing this T-CON decodering board will solved this problems,if does not the LCD screen panel itself it is shorting out, than the tv it is not worth fixing, because changing the whole LCD screen panel itself it is not practical and the cost will be the same as a new tv itself.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decodering board for the replacement.

Gateway gtw p42m303 promblem need advice

I think you need a control PCB.

If the Set has an LG Screen, which I think it does, it is going to be a PDP42X2.

They commonly produce vertical Red and or Yellow lines that come and go.

6871QCH060Q is the boards part number.

You should just check it is an LG PDP42X2 by peering through the holes in the top, use a flashlight, there are some labels along the inside at the top.

One will have the Screen number on it.. LG PDP42X2 or PDP42X2A.

Vertical Yellow Line on Left Side of Picture

I would try to update the drivers for the display adapters, to do this, go to start>control panel>system>hardware(tab)>device manager>display adapters and select the appropriate adapter and double click it and go to the driver tab and update driver. If this doesn't work, go to device manager and try updating the drivers to the Monitors.....same thing.

Sony kv35s66: No picture, just sound and red blinking

The most common problem (I have fixed lots) is the Vertical amplifier has developed a loose connection. It probably just needs resoldering. As things expand it makes and looses connection you picture goes in and out. The vertical chip is a large black chip that gets hot, over time it degrades the solder until a connection is damaged. Most newer sets have a protection circuit that senses the lack of height, and shuts down the picture tube to save it. When the picture dropped to a line on older TVs and left that way too long it would burn a line into the face of the picture tube. You then had to have the picture tube replaced along with the vertical amp. it's kinda like a screensaver for your TV.
