Hi:
You need to power down your laptop, and unplug the AC Adapter, and remove the battery. Open the screen up and back about as far as it can go. Next, you need to remove the piece of plastic trim that is above the keyboard, and covering the hinges.
The keyboard is held in place by 3 screws across the top edge, and once those are removed, carefully tilt it back and lift it up a bit, to expose the ribbon cable of the keyboard. The connector on the laptop motherboard has a brown or black strip that must be carefully popped up a bit, to release the ribbon cable. Once you do this, insert the ribbon cable of the new keyboard, push the locking strip back down, and then screw down the keyboard, and reinstall the top cover piece
Next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all.
