I just bought a gigaware webcam but my cd rom drive doesnt work

help i got the gigaware with mic the cd wont run on my comp naf i cant download it either from the webside it doesnt go...

Hmm... Well the manufactures website usually has the drivers for their product, but if not, then you can try other websites. Here are some:

Download from the Radioshack support site.

Remove the CD, then go to the program files folder and remove the folder that applies to this device. Remove the device from the USB port.

Reboot the PC.

Reinstall the software before you attach the webcam to your PC. Only attach the device when directed by the installation program, or after you have fully installed the software.

It's a pain in the ****, but reboot after you finish installing the software and then attach the device. This will allow the device manager utility to fully recognize the device and apply the appropriate drive files.

The entire installation cd here: http://d01.megashares.com/index.php?d01=6b830bb. It‘s an image file that you‘ll have to burn to a cd. You can use a program like Nero, Imgburn, Roxio, or any other program that deals with iso images. Burn the cd, install the driver, and then start using your webcam!

have the same same problem unsolved yet. it's not on the software actually, it's in the installation of the drive...
