Check fan cage to make sure it turns freely. Check voltage to IFM make sure it is correct for the application. Make sure the motor turns the fan cage in the correct direction. IFM will have high and low speed make sure when you change from fan on to auto that the motor changes speed. If you have an amp draw meter check to see when running the motor pulls the amp load it is rated for. Recheck all wiring.

The fused burned out not because it is faulty but because a problem occurred, probably a short circuit, which resulted in the high-inrush of current. This burning out of the fuse on the motor controller module usually caused by faulty drain pump motor. Water leaks in the drain pump damages the pump motor winding and results in short circuit which eventually burns out the fuse. The drain pump must be checked first for such condition and replaced if necessary before replacing the fuse or the motor control board for that matter.

I just had an issue where I thought the motor burned up. It turned out that the red wire from the motor start capacitor to the Motor switch was poorly attached. It became detached midwash and when the motor was supposed to start next I must have got an arc of some kind and thought the motor had burned out due to the smell.
Check the red wire from the motor start capacitor and make sure it has not detached from the plastic wiring harness/pin plug that plugs in to the motor switch. Detach the paper face plate of the motor switch and make sure the connectors are not fried.

Check your filter and also check that nothing got pulled into the motor...otherwise the motor is burning up and will need to be replaced... probably cheaper to replace the whole vacuum..

The motor is running.That is confirmed that motor is fine.But the wires from motor has to be checked.the motor connections are getting short and this is causing the plastic belt to burn.Check the motor as well as its connection.

An visual inspection must be made under the motor hood. First unplugged unit then remove motor shroud clean any dirt or debris.Then check for any visible signs of burning on the Motor Control Board. Also check in the front where the power switch is, that may have burned if not, there should be a main fuse holder that also could burn or fuse may have opened up. If the fuse holder is good then proceed to the fuse if it has opened up replace the fuse. Then plug unit back in while you are look at all components while someone initiate start-up and if any burning is visible then isolate what component is burning or arching. yes yes yes .you are absolutely right.its the coils in the motor burning.the motor needs replacement. Often the start relay for the motor sticks and makes the motor get too hot. This can cause the motor to over-heat and shut off on the built in safety sensor inside the motor. You may need to use a amp probe to test the motor properly, check model plate for proper amps.  If this is let go too long the motor windings can also be damaged ( they may look black instead of a nice copper color). The wires on the relay are also bad for burning off the wire terminals.   The wires at the motor should be checked to make sure they have not burned off or you can test the motor continuity with an ohm meter. See two newmotor wiring pictures.....here...and...here. The relay wires often burn off as well.

Sounds like the transmission is jammed.  This will cause the motor to bog and burn.
