MY GREEN LIGHT IS ON BUT MY ARCHOS PLAYER DOSE NOT SHOW ANYTHING ON THE SCREEN AND IT WONT TURN OFF//IT MAKES ME SO MAD
Just watching a movie and my archos just froze in mid play , did a switch off to rest it and guess what it wont restart , ses ARCHOS in green at the start but wont reeboot have tried the reset button inside but no joy what so ever , any tips or advice 'or shall i just ship it back to Archos ....
Archos 605 wifi screen won't turn on but green power light is on.... HELP!???? replaced with new battery but no change. any ideas?
It still does not work. A few minutes ago it suddenly stopped working. But also when it works, the Archos sometimes crashes and I have to reboot the device, by using a paperclip.
Not buying any Archos player again.
L can not seem to to be able to bring up the contextual menu
I pressed the power button for 15 seconds, nothing happened, my screen stayed black and the power light stayed on. I waited about 5 minutes and then the power light turned off and I could then start my player as norm. I also read that you can reset the system by using a paper clip and press the button next to the connector on the bottom. You can go to the archos site http://www.archos.com/support/support_tech/manuals.html?country=global&lang=en and download the manual, it will show you where to reset with paperclip. Hope it works, it's an awesome device.
Check maybe the battery is low. try to charge your player or connect it to your pc. to turn it off hold the power button for about 15 secs.

Green light is on but nothing on screen--just black. I press the power button for atleast 15 seconds nothing happens.
my girlfriend bought this device 6 months ago; i could turn it on at that time just to check what is this device for... then I left it in the box for 6 months. Now I'm trying to turn it on; nothing. I've charged it the whole night but the CHG button still green and plain, not flashing as it should be to show me the battery is fully charged... any idea how to do?
I have the same problem!!! i've tried every damN thiNG; holding the power button 4 15sec pressing the reset button on the bottom and charging it!!! But still nothing happens just the chg light stays on!!! SOme1 help me b4 i slam this thing on the flooR!!!
I love Archos and im bought my second one sometime ago i have the Archos 504 ' was watching a film last nite and it just froze half way throu the film , now arfter an reeboot , it just flashes a greeen archos start screen and wont reeboot at all im gutted , ive tried to reset it when u remove the battery and click the reset button ,but i still get a lovely green screen 'looks like it has to be boxed up and sent off o archos if i cant get it to reeboot , any tips .....
brand new archos will not turn on
i have the same problem with a 605 wifi. the thing turns on, however the screen is black, the light is on, and i can view the image on my tv using the dvr station. i've tried every solution, you people have suggested, and some of my own crackpot ideas, however nothing seems to work.
