When I removed the backplate from my Braun M880 hand mixer to replace the switch assembly, the gasket around the backplate broke. I would like to find a replacement for the gasket or for the backplate with the gasket.

I am also trying to remove the backplate on a Braun 350 multimixer, and trying not to break it. How is it attached? I cannot find the clips near the edge.
OK, have fixed my Braun. To open backplate, pry gently from the bottom end - the other side of where the cable comes out. You should be able to lift it bout eight of an inch. You will then be able to see the clip that holds the backplate down facing the bottom. Put a flat thin screwdriver in and push the clip back and the backplate will pop out, and it hinges where the cable is. The problem with mine was described elsewhere - one of the solder lugs from the circuit board to the motor had cracked and was causing intermittent on-off. Good luck.
