Examine the markings on the battery. It is likely to be a 1.5-volt Silver Oxide or Alkaline battery. It doesn't matter which one you use, although the Silver Oxide battery can handle heavier energy-consuming loads, such as a multifunctional chronograph. It can be purchased from amazon, here: watch battery 1 5V silver oxide 357 SR44 SR44SW 10 pack. I hope this was helpful. Cheers

The battery you need will be what is in it now. If you don't have a battery in it now you would need to know the size of the battery cavity or the movement number to determine this.

But let me warn you. Changing the battery on a Rado watch is not for an amateur. Rado glues the crystals on their watches and the way they do this with the snap on case backs 99% of the time you will break the crystal. To replace the crystal will cost you about $400+ because they won't just replace the crystal. they will force you to have the watch serviced as well. They play this game where they refuse to replace the crystal if the watch isn't serviced.

So trying to save a few dollars on a battery replacement most likely will cost you several hundred.

Consider this before you try to replace the battery.

Hope this helps,
Ken

I brought mine online from http://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/browse/N/65+4294967253

You are better off getting your watch from a credible supplier like Ernest Jones as they come with a guarantee..

It sound like a fault. Be careful who looks at it though and what they charge - a complete new quartz movement for most watches, even fancy ones like your don't cost as much as £90 so almost all of what you are charged is labour.

How to open rado coupole

Thank you for contacting FixYa.
If you are opening up the back for the battery, I would HIGHLY recommend that you have done by a certified Rado Service center.
They will test for watertightness, seal it properly, change o ring and crown.
If you still want to risk doing yourself then follow these instructions:
Locate a very small tab (or recessed area) on the edge of the back cover. This is the access point for removal. You can find this sometimes by running your fingernail around the back rim, as this tab or indentation can be hard to see.

2Pull out the stem, which releases the back on some watches.

3Get a small flathead screwdriver it needs to be a thin inflexible tip. Use a kitchen knife as a last resort. Wrap the hand you are holding the watch with in a towel or protect your hand in some manner so you don't injure yourself if the screwdriver/knife slips.

4Very carefully slide the blade under the tiny metal protrusion on the back cover (or across the length of the recessed area, depending on which type of cover your watch has). Do not attempt to insert the point of the knife. Use the length of the blade.

5Get under the tab or recessed area and gently but firmly turn the blade upward, popping the cover off.

6When you replace the cover, make sure you line up the stem slot on the cover with the stem of the watch.

If you decide to send to Rado, then follow link:
http://www.rado.com/stores_locator/default.htm?client_request_type=2
